Modern Moghul

Modern Moghul, the creative vision of jewelry designer Bibiana Dykema (Biby), blends the ornate traditions of Indian craftsmanship with a modern Western sensibility.

To complement her vibrant, gemstone-rich designs, Biby needed a packaging system that felt as distinctive and layered as her work—one that would stand out in a crowded market while honoring her cultural influences.

Centered around the scarab beetle—a symbol of life, creation, and transformation across cultures—the design captures the spirit of rebirth inherent in the jewelry-making process. Delicate metallic gold foil accents appear throughout the packaging system and highlight the logo, adding refinement and visibility. The system included large and small jewelry boxes with lush navy velvet interiors, coordinating jewelry bags, shopping bags, and a custom insert to complete the unboxing experience.
